LENT AND EASTER WORSHIP SCHEDULE: April 12 & 13 Palm Weekend; Maundy Thursday and Good Friday April 17 & 18 Holy Week Drama 6:30pm; Sunday, April 20th Easter Worship at 8:00am & 9:30am; Easter Breakfast from 8:30am – 11:30am; Easter Egg Hunt at 9:15am.

EASTER LILIES DONATION DUE THIS SUNDAY: Help beautify the Altar area for Easter worship by donating an Easter Lily plant. They are $15 each and the deadline to let the front office know you want one is on Sunday, April 6th.

CANYON WINDS SPRING CHAMBER MUSIC RECITAL: Please join us for an afternoon of outstanding chamber music on Saturday, April 5th at 2:00pm at Bethel Lutheran Church. Canyon Winds, under the musical direction of Anthony Vicari, will present a Spring Chamber Music Recital featuring their Clarinet and Flute Choirs, Woodwind Trios and Duets and an amazing Ragtime Solo Piano piece! Admission is free! Hope to see you there.

EASTER CANDY NEEDED: A tub is located near the elevator for collecting donations of Easter candy for the Easter Egg Hunt. Kindly supply individual small candies for the children to find on Sunday, April 20th. We appreciate your donations.

EGG PACKING EVENT: If you can spare a little time on Sunday, April 13th after worship (around 10:30am) we could use some volunteers to pack the Easter eggs for the Easter Egg Hunt on April 20th. We will be meeting in the first classroom off the Christ Center.

NEW MEMBER CLASS THIS SUNDAY: The New Member class will be on Sunday, April 6th OR Sunday, April 13th after the 9:30am service. It will be held in Pastor John’s office. The New Member Spaghetti Dinner will be on Saturday, April 26th at 6:30pm in the Christ Center. On Saturday, April 26th and Sunday, April 27th during the service you can be formally received into membership.

LIFE LINE SCREENING: Bethel will be hosting a Life Line Screening event on Monday, May 19th. Life Line Screening is the premier provider of stroke and cardiovascular disease risk screenings since 1993. As the host of the event, Life Line Screening is extending a special offer to all of our Bethel members for a screening package that enables you to get peace of mind or early detection.

BIBLE STUDY & SUNDAY SCHOOL

GOSPEL OF JOHN: Pastor Dan is leading a study on the Gospel of John that begins at 10:45am in the Faith Forum. We will be finishing the class on Sunday, April 13th.

KINGDOM KIDS: Sunday School for children age 4 through 5th grade will meet downstairs. Children are dismissed from the worship service on Sunday around 9:45am with Bethany.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL: This summer June 9th-13th children can come discover how they can trust Jesus in a wild world.

YOUTH VOLUNTEERS REQUESTED: We need Youth to come help with the Easter Breakfast on Sunday, April 20th at 8:00am.

GROUPS & BIBLE STUDIES

BETHEL BOOK CLUB: We meet once a month on the 3rd Thursday at 1:00pm in the Library. In April we will meet on Thursday, April 17th. The Book we are reading is “The Ride of Her Life: The True Story of a Woman, Her Horse, and Their Last-Chance Journey Across America” by Elizabeth Letts.

BIBLE STUDY FELLOWSHIP: This is a city-wide women’s bible class that meets here at Bethel at 6:45pm on Monday nights. They are studying the book of Revelation.

BUNCO: This is a game of dice and fellowship. We meet on the first Friday of the month April 4th at 7:00pm in the Narthex area.

CARDS AND GAMES: We are looking for people who would be interested in playing Pinocle on Thursday mornings at 9:00am in the Faith Forum at Bethel. We can teach you if you do not know how to play.

CONNECTIONS GROUP: The next time we meet is Friday, April 25th at 6:30pm.

DINING OUT GROUP: We will meet on Monday, April 28th at the Black Bear Diner at 6:00pm. The address is 975 N Academy Blvd, 80909.

GIFTS FROM THE HEART: We enjoy sharing the love of Christ with others by preparing and donating gifts. Our gift-giving includes specially prepared baby gifts for newborns at Bethel, recycling stuffed animals for foster children, three different types of gift bags handed out to the homeless, meals for shut-ins or families in distress, and household goods for displaced veterans.

GIRL SCOUTS: We meet every other Thursday at 6:00pm in the Youth Room.

MEN’S CHALLENGE GROUP: Men, do you want the abundance God came to give you? Do you want joy and peace AND to advance His kingdom? Then come join us. Hear God lead you. Glorify Him. We meet at 11:00am on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at Bethel.

MEN’S MINISTRY BREAKFAST: We meet once a month at 7:45am in the Christ Center. The next time we are getting together is Saturday, April 19th.

MEN’S UP AND ADAM: This men’s group meets at Bethel for Bible Study every Wednesday morning at 6:30am.

MICROBREW CREW: We will meet on Monday, April 14th at 6:00pm at Leon Gessi New York Pizza. The address is 1806 Palmer Park Blvd, 80909.

PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP: This group is for folks interested in photography from novice to experienced.

RUTH BIBLE STUDY: We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 9:30am – 11:00am in the Library.

SENIOR GROUP: We meet once a month for Potluck and other activities. We get together for food, fun, and fellowship. We will NOT be meeting in April.

STEPHEN MINISTRY: We all go through times in our life when we could benefit from a little extra care and attention. That’s what Stephen Ministers are for. They will listen, care, encourage, pray with and for you, and provide weekly support for you as long as your needs persist. If you would like to find out more about Stephen Ministry talk with one of our Pastors. Our Stephen Ministers are ready to care for you.

STITCHED WITH LOVE: This ministry provides an opportunity for you to make and donate crocheted or knitted items for infants and children. We also make a variety of handmade items throughout the year for donation to foster children through Cases of Love, infants through Life Network, winter scarves for the homeless, etc.

VARIETY DANCE: Variety Dance meets each Saturday afternoon in the Christ Center. The 2:30pm class is led by Gloria Pascua and the 4:00pm class is led by Sharon Oldfield.

WEB (WOMEN EXPLORING THE BIBLE): We meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 9:00am -11:00am in the Library.

WEST (WOMEN EARNESTLY SEEKING TRUTH) BIBLE STUDY: We meet Wednesdays in the Library from 10:30am - 12:00noon.
